Alyson Sheppard

Alyson Sheppard MS, CSCS, CPT is a certified strength & conditioning specialist and trainer based out of our Westport location. Alyson graduated with a bachelors in health promotion and fitness from Otterbein University and went on to earn her masters in exercise science from Kent State University. Alyson served as the head strength coach for the women's gymnastics team at Kent State, as well as assisting with volleyball, basketball, golf, and wrestling. As Alyson gained experience, she developed a passion for creating & implementing injury prevention & strength programs. During her time in Houston, she worked for 6 years at the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute doing exercise physiology testing & running biomechanics for a myriad of athletes. She worked alongside physical therapists and physicians to create advanced strength programs for athletes returning from injury as well as injury prevention programs. Alyson honed her expertise in running biomechanics and serves as a specialist in gait analysis & injury prevention for runners. When Alyson is not in the clinic, you can find her training for her next Ironman race. We are thrilled to have a specialized trainer like Alyson join our Performance Team.
